About the Teachers
Paul and Chris started their training almost 30 years ago in the Karate Union of Great Britain and they stayed for many years, taking their gradings under Sensei's Ohta and Enoeda. In 2002 the group changed their affiliation to the TSKA. As an association they felt that the TSKA were closer to the ideals of Wells Traditional Shotokan group; less sports orientated and more emphasis on realistic self defence.
Paul is a 4th Dan and also has a teaching qualification in Yang Family Taijiquan (Tai Chi) which he also teaches in Wells.
Chris is a 1st Dan in the style and runs the group with Paul.
